about me

My name is Gus, I live in a seaside town called Southport in the North West of England and work for the Emergency Services.

In spring 2006 I had a trial lesson in a Robinson R22 Helicopter at the Liverpool Helicentre. Soon after that I decided I wanted to get my Private Pilots License so began flight training and studying, flew solo for the first time on 1st June 2007 and passed my final handling test in March 2008.

Over 80 hours of my flying has been in a Robinson R22 but I have also flown The Schweizer (Hughes) H269, a Robinson R22 Mariner, a Robinson R44 and a Eurocopter EC120. I have mostly flown in Merseyside and Cheshire, and enjoyed some longer trips to places like Walton Wood, the Lake District and Wolverhampton.
